Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Wilton Martinez began his professional career in 2011 at 17 years old. He was signed by Seattle Mariners scouts Patrick Guerrero, Frank Taveras Jr. and Bob Engle as an international free agent.

He began his career with a .170/.262/.245 slashline with the DSL Mariners in 2011, but improved to .251/.321/.420 with 10 home runs and 37 RBI with the club the next year. In 2013, he hit .209/.261/.443 with an Appalachian League-leading 12 home runs to go along with 33 RBI for the Pulaski Mariners. He batted .162/.241/.283 with three dingers and 21 RBI in 50 games between the Everett AquaSox and Clinton LumberKings in 2014 and was released by the club in April 2015.
