William McCarthy
Bill McCarthy was president of the Pacific Coast League from 1919-1923. He was noted for cracking down on corruption, banning Babe Borton, William Rumler, Tom Seaton and Harl Maggert for suspected involvement in a game-throwing scandal. He banned professional gamblers from PCL ballparks.
