==Biographical Information William Love pitched in the minors for five years. The Oakland Athletics took him in the 19th round of the 1988 amateur draft.

Love made his pro debut with the 1988 AZL Athletics, going 4-1 with a 5.54 ERA in 4 starts and 7 relief stints. In '89, William pitched one inning for the Madison Muskies. During 1990, the southpaw was 1-1 with two saves and a 4.90 ERA in 37 games for the Modesto A's. His control was poor as he walked 50 and threw 17 wild pitches in 68 innings. He was fourth in the California League in wild pitches. Returning to Modesto in 1991, Love had a record of 2-1, 5.18.

In 1992, the Californian moved to the independent Reno Silver Sox and went 10-4 with a 4.68 ERA to finish his pro career at 17-7.
