Biographical Information[edit]
Maw Brittsen started in the Three-I League (Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League) in 1904 with the Springfield Hustlers; his record for that year is unavailable at BR Minors as of Jan. 2014. He was 13-10 the next year for the Springfield Senators, second on the team in wins behind Frank Oberlin. He split 1906 between the Canton Chinamen and Terre Haute Hottentots, going a combined 12-17. He tied for 4th in the Central League in defeats. In '07, he was 15-18 for Canton, tying for the league lead in losses and tying for 9th in wins. His 14-9 record for the 1908 Canton Watchmakers was good for 10th in the Ohio-Pennsylvania League in wins. He fell to 1-4 for Canton in '09. In 1910, he went 11-12 for the Lancaster Red Roses. In his final season, he was 9-0 for the 1911 Canton Deubers.
