Westgate Park
Westgate Park in San Diego, California, was home of the San Diego Padres of the Pacific Coast League for a decade. Opened in 1958, the park featured 8,200 seats, all of which were covered by a roof. Anticipating the arrival of major league baseball, the much larger San Diego Stadium was constructed in the mid-1960s, and the Padres moved there in 1968 for their final PCL season. Westgate Stadium was then torn down to make way for a commercial shopping area.
