Biographical Information[edit]
After playing college football at the University of Iowa, Wes Fry played for the New York Yankees of the NFL in 1927. Following his playing days, he was head football and baseball coach at Kansas State University from 1935 to 1938. From 1944 to 1946, he was baseball coach at Northwestern University, leading the school to a 28-28-1 record during that span. He later was the General Manager of the Oakland Raiders of the American Football League from 1960 to 1963.
