Biographical Information

Wenxin Gu has been an outfielder for the Tianjin Lions in the China Baseball League, starting in 2006. Gu got into one game for the Chinese national team in the 2015 Asian Championship, replacing Xiao Cui in the batting order and Chen Chen in right field late in a loss to eventual champion South Korea. With China down 11-0 in the 7th, he got his lone at-bat, connecting safely off Won-jun Ko and later scoring China's first run, driven in by Chuang Na. He had also been with China for the 2013 East Asian Games.
