Biographical Information

Wen-Kai Kuo pitched in the CPBL for 3 years. His uncle is former CPBL pitcher Wen-Po Huang.

Kuo was drafted by the Lamigo Monkeys in the 9th round of the 2012 CPBL Draft, and he had a 8.22 ERA in 11 games in 2013. He had a 6.49 ERA in 14 relief outings in 2014, and he was placed in the minors for the entire 2015 season. Kuo was 6-10 with a 3.93 ERA in 2015, and he led the league in losses and hits allowed. His ERA was 8.69 in 19 games in 2016, and he announced his retirement after spending the entire 2017 season in the minors.

Kuo's repertoire included a fastball (peak 89.4 mph), sinker, slider, curveball and changeup.

Overall, Kuo was 0-1 with a 7.70 ERA ,pitched 69 innings and struck out 30 in 3 seasons in the CPBL.
