Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Wayne Britton was picked by the Baltimore Orioles in the 56th round of the 1965 amateur draft, one selection before Rich Nye. He never played in the minors but scouted for over 35 years for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1973), New York Mets (1974-1978) and Boston Red Sox (1979- ), signing Mookie Wilson for the Mets and Nomar Garciaparra, Trot Nixon and Mo Vaughn for the Red Sox.
