Biographical Information

Pitcher Wander Cabrera had a 2.34 ERA and averaged more than a strikeout per inning as a 17-year-old with the DSL Cubs in 2015. On November 25, 2015, he was traded to the Colorado Rockies for pitcher Rex Brothers; in 2016, he was 6-0, 2.63 and averaged more than a K per frame for the DSL Rockies. He remained in the Rockies system through 2019, making a single appearance in 2017, posting an 8.12 ERA in 41 innings between two clubs in 2018 and posting a 3.40 ERA in 20 games (4 starts) (50 1/3 innings) between two clubs in 2019. Overall, he was 14-7 with a 3.99 ERA in 60 games (32 starts) over 5 seasons. In 185 innings, he allowed 162 hits and 107 walks, while striking out 183 batters.

Cabrera became a coach with the DSL Mets 2 in 2022-2023 and DSL Mets Blue in 2024.
