Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Walter Kopp played minor league baseball from 1937 to 1946, missing the 1943-1945 seasons. He spent the vast majority of his career in class C ball, playing a handful of games at the B level. Statistical information is incomplete, however it is known that he had at least 423 hits, of which at least 62 were doubles, six were triples and 18 were home runs. In 1939 with the Tyler Trojans, Marshall Tigers and Henderson Oilers, he batted .332.
While a manager, major league All-Star Dick Donovan played under his tutelage.
