Biographical Information[edit]

In high school in 1949, Vince Costello was the star quarterback for an unbeaten Magnolia (OH) High School six-man team that had only been formed the year before at the urgent request to the Board of Education by Vince and his fellow Magnolia students.

Vince signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds and played for the Burlington Flints in 1953 and Duluth Dukes in 1954. After serving in the military as a lieutenant, he returned in 1956 and played for the Wausau Lumberjacks.
