The Victoria Cowboys represented Victoria, TX in the Gulf States League in 1976. An independent club, they went 25-16 in the first half then went 18-19 in the remainder of the year. Managed by Ken Richardson, the club drew 16,86 fans, 3rd in the 6-team league. Byron McLaughlin (10-4, 3.05) led the league in wins and was second in ERA. In 1977 the league was renamed the Lone Star League and the club became the Victoria Rosebuds.
