Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Victor Fucci played in the minor leagues in 1943 and from 1946 to 1953, beginning his career as a 17-year-old. He hit around .291 with at least 1,096 hits and 37 home runs in his nine-year career, the first five of which were spent in the New York Yankees system.
Notable seasons include 1947, when he hit .294 with 139 hits and 16 triples in 115 games split between the Butler Yankees, Norfolk Tars and Binghamton Triplets, 1948, when he hit .309 with 131 hits, 21 doubles, 11 home runs and a .474 slugging percentage for the Manchester Yankees and Norfolk Tars and 1952, when he hit .291 with 168 hits and 21 doubles for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
He served in the U.S. military during World War II.
