The name Manchester Yankees was used by two minor league teams based in Manchester, NH. The first iteration played in the New England League in 1948 and 1949, disbanding in mid-season the second year. The second played in the AA Eastern League from 1969 to 1971, before moving to West Haven, CT where they became the West Haven Yankees. Neither team had much on-field success, and attendance was always an issue. Being affiliates of the New York Yankees in an area where loyalties went to the Boston Red Sox (or the Boston Braves in the 1940s) certainly did not help.
There was also a team that went by the name "Manchester Yankees" in the Atlantic Baseball Confederation, a summer collegiate league.
