Biographical Information[edit]
Velma Abbott played in the AAGPBL for two seasons in 1946 and 1947. She was an infielder and mostly played second base and third base. She played for three different teams in 1946; the Kenosha Comets, Peoria Redwings, and the Rockford Peaches. In 1947 she played for the Fort Wayne Daisies.
She was honored by the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame when they inducted all Canadian-born AAGPBL players.
