Biographical Information

Pitcher Ulises Gutierrez played in the San Diego Padres system in 2009 and the Mexican League and Mexican Pacific Winter League from 2010 to 2015.

With the DSL Padres his first year, he was 3-0 with a 1.15 ERA in 13 relief appearances. In 2010, he was with the Tigres de Quintana Roo and in 2011, he played for the Yaquis de Obregon over the winter. From 2012 to 2014, he was with the Vaqueros Laguna and in 2015, he played for the Olmecas de Tabasco. He struggled as a whole, going 4-6 with a 6.65 ERA in 88 career appearances.

He died May 24, 2015 at 24 years old.
