USA Today Minor League Player of the Year Award

From BR Bullpen

The USA Today Minor League Player of the Year Award has been awarded since 1988. It is given to a single minor league player who is judged by USA Today's baseball experts as having had the most outstanding season.

While the award is less heralded than those given by Baseball America and The Sporting News (before being discontinued), it has a very good track record in honoring players who will develop into top rank major leaguers.
