Biographical Information[edit]
Tzu-Chen Sha has pitched in the minors and for the Taiwanese national team.
Sha was signed by the Oakland Athletics in 2023 with a $425K signing bonus. He was 2-3 with a 4.01 ERA for the ACL Athletics in his first season, and he also pitched 7 games with a 5.00 ERA for the Stockton Ports. Sha stayed in Stockton in 2024, and he went 2-6 with a 6.33 ERA. He also represented Taiwan in the 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup, and he completed a shutout inning against South Korea but allowed an unearned run in 2 2/3 innings against Nicaragua. He then made it onto Taiwan's roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. Sha was named the starter against South Africa, and he completed 2 2/3 shutout innings before a cramp ended his pitching. He got the win over Damon King.
