Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Tydus Meadows was selected by the New York Mets in the ninth round of the 1995 amateur draft but did not sign, opting to attend Vanderbilt University instead. He was then taken by the Chicago Cubs in the 27th round of the 1998 amateur draft. He was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 2001 Rule V draft; two years later, he was chosen by the Texas Rangers in the 2003 Rule V draft. Following two seasons in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, he ended his career with three seasons in the independent Northern League.
