Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Ty Wright was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 7th round of the 2007 amateur draft. He played in the Cubs' chain through 2013 and spent 2014 with the Somerset Patriots.
Wright became a coach with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2017 then was hitting coach for Myrtle Beach in 2018-2019. Wright moved to the Arizona Diamondbacks' organization as hitting coach of the Visalia Rawhide in 2022 and Hillsboro Hops in 2023-2024.
