Biographical Information[edit]

Tsung-Lung Yu played in the CPBL for 5 years.

Yu was signed by the Mercuries Tigers when they were founded in 1990, and he hit .128/.152/.174 in his first season. He had a 0-for-2 record in the 1990 Taiwan Series, and the Wei Chuan Dragons beat them in 6 games. Yu then batted .259/.298/.259 in 1991, and he played 22 games with a .313/.353/.438 batting line in 1992. However, he struggled in 1993 as he was 2-for-33, and he had a 2-for-20 record in 1994. The Tigers released him after the 1994 season, and his professional career ended. He started to coach Hualien Physical Education High School in 2001.

Overall, Yu had hit .173/.222/.213 with 39 hits in 5 seasons in the CPBL.
