Biographical Information[edit]
Trevor Burmeister played college ball at Madison Area Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He earned a bachelor's degree from the latter in organizational & professional communication in 2014. Burmeister completed a master's degree in education (coaching emphasis) in 2017.
Burmeister began his coaching career at UW-La Crosse as an assistant coach from 2014-2015. In 2016 he worked as a graduate assistant coach at UM-Duluth while working on his master's degree. Burmeister returned to Madison Area Technical College as an assistant coach for the 2017-2019 seasons. He was awarded the ABCA/Baseball America Assistant Coach of the Year in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for his work at Madison in 2019. In addition to these college positions, Burmeister was an assistant coach for the Madison Mallards of the Northwoods League during the summers of 2015 & 2016.
The Colorado Rockies hired Burmeister for their Grand Junction Rockies hitting coach position in 2020 before COVID-19 forced the minor league season to be cancelled. He was a hitting coach for the ACL Rockies in 2021-2022 and Fresno Grizzlies in 2023-2024.
