Biographical Information

Trajan Langdon was a third baseman and right-handed pitcher in high school who was drafted in the sixth round of the 1994 amateur draft by the San Diego Padres. Assigned to the Spokane Indians, he struggled, striking out 21 times and drawing two walks in 52 AB while hitting .154/.182/.195 and making three errors in seven chances at third base (he was used as a DH otherwise).

The next year, with the Idaho Falls Braves, Langdon batted .174/~.269/.304 in 11 games. Sitting out 1996, he returned in 1997 and finished his career with a .189/~.277/.333 for Idaho Falls, striking out 36 times in 90 AB, though he showed some pop, with 9 of his 17 hits going for extra bases. Finishing as a baseball player, he became a pro basketball player in the NBA after having set Duke University's record for career three-pointers.
