National Basketball Association

From BR Bullpen

(Redirected from NBA)

The National Basketball Association, usually abbreviated as NBA, is widely considered the world's top-level basketball league. Despite its name, it operates in both the United States and Canada. It was founded in 1946, as one of a number of fledgling professional basketball leagues at the time, but eventually grew to its current status.

A number of players have played in both the NBA and Major League Baseball. At one point there were players playing in both leagues simultaneously, the most famous of whom is probably Gene Conley.
