Biographical Information[edit]
Toshihiko Goto was an infielder who represented Japan in the 1976 Amateur World Series and 1978 Amateur World Series (going 2 for 8 with a walk, steal, three runs and two RBI; he had one assist and one putout while backing up Kasuhisa Hino at 3B and Shigeki Saito at 2B). He played for Mitsubishi Mihara in the Industrial League after college. After retiring, Goto became a coach and coached Keio University from 1994 to 2001. He also managed Japanese national team in 2001 Asian Championship, 2001 Baseball World Cup and 2002 Intercontinental Cup.
