Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Tony York played pro ball from 1933 to 1956, missing the 1945 season due to military service. He led the 1937 Texas League with 46 2B and the 1943 American Association with 187 hits. Overall he had 2,563 minor league hits, 476 2B, 158 HR, and 113 SB to go with his .269 minor league average.
