Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Tony Moretto was taken 22nd overall by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1975 amateur draft between catcher Bruce Robinson and pitcher Dave Ford.

Between the Billings Mustangs and Tampa Tarpons in 1975, he hit .222/.309/.304 with two home runs and 24 RBI in 53 games. He hit .243/.325/.275 with no home runs, 11 RBI and nine stolen bases in 76 games for Tampa in 1976 and in 1977, between Tampa and the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, he hit .261/.349/.343 with three home runs and 18 RBI in 105 games. After batting .215/.271/.265 with two home runs and 25 RBI in 102 games between Tampa and the Nashville Sounds in 1978, he was let go and his professional career was over.

Overall, he batted .234/.310/.293 with seven home runs and 78 RBI in 336 games over four seasons.
