Tony Gisondi umpired one National League game as a fill-in umpire at the start of the 1991 season, when a labor conflict with the regular umpires had been settled at the end of spring training, but too late for some of the umpires to be available on Opening Day. As a college ump, he has worked in the Atlantic-10 Conference, Big East Conference, Big Ten Conference, Ivy League, Metro Atlantic Conference and Northeast Conference and worked in the 1998 College World Series.
