Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Tony Bridges was taken 24th overall by the Kansas City Royals in the 1986 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Gary Johnson. Though he briefly reached Triple A, he never played at the major league level.

He never hit above .257 in a season and slugged better than .300 only once - though during his brief stay at Triple A, in 1991, he batted .318 with a .364 slugging mark in seven games for the Omaha Royals. Speed was his top offensive asset, as he stole double digit bases five times in his seven-year career, with a high of 18 in 1991. Overall, he batted .230/.303/.282 with 75 stolen bases in 548 games.
