Biographical Information[edit]

Tomomi Nakada was on the Japanese women's national team.

She debuted with North Reia in 2014, hitting .208/.269/.313 in 20 games. She was 4 for 28 with a double and 3 walks in '15. She moved to Hyogo Dione in 2016 and batted .356/.449/.515; she won a Gold Glove in the outfield and made the Best Nine as one of the league's top three outfielders. [1] In 2017, she hit .338/.451/.439, followed by .239/.343/.347 in 2018. [2] Despite an off-season, she made Japan's team for the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, leading off and playing right in their opener against the Dominican Republic. She was retired by Marlenny Quero her first time up then plunked the next. She had 3 runs and 4 RBI against Hong Kong. In the finale, she scored the winning run in the first. She drew a walk from Taiwan's Ching-Wen Hu, stole second, advanced on a grounder and scored on a Yuki Kawabata hit. She scored in all nine of Japan's games, hitting .333/.515/.375 with 7 walks, 14 runs, 5 RBI and 7 steals in 7 tries. She had 10 putouts, one assist and one error. She was among the Cup leaders in runs (1st, two ahead of Shae Lillywhite and Luz Feliciano), walks (tied for 2nd, 4 behind So-yeon Kim), steals (tied Tsz-Chin Lau for 3rd, behind Arianna Garcia and Esther Maliepaard) and steal rate (tied Lau for 1st). Moving to Saitama Astraia in 2019, she produced at a .268/.343/.347 clip with 23 steals in 25 tries and made Best Nine. [4] In 2020, she was at .233/.349/.311 in the JWBL's final season. [5]
