Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Tommy Toledo began his professional career in 2011.

He was originally drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 3rd round of the 2007 amateur draft - one pick ahead of starting pitcher Matt Harvey - but opted not to sign. He was then taken by the Minnesota Twins in the 32nd round of the 2010 amateur draft, but again did not sign. He did ink a contract after being taken by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 11th round of the 2011 amateur draft.

In his second pro season, 2012, he posted a 9-2 record in 32 relief appearances between the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Brevard County Manatees. He was a Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star that year. In 2013, he was 4-2 with 20 saves and a 2.11 ERA in 43 games for the Manatees. He was a MiLB.com Organization All-Star that season.
