Biographical Information[edit]

Tommy Jones played in the minors from 1976-1981. He was a player/coach for the Clinton Giants in 1980 and Phoenix Giants in 1981.

From 1998 to 2004, Jones was the Director of Player Development for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Jones also was the first base coach for the Diamondbacks in 2004 and was a scout for the Seattle Mariners in 2005.

In 2009, Jones lost a more than yearlong battle with brain cancer [1].
