Tom Tornincasa

Biographical Information[edit]

Tom Tornincasa played shortstop in college, appearing in the 1978 Division III College World Series. He played in Mexico for two seasons and coached at California Baptist College.

Tornincasa was a coach for the Springfield Capitals in 1998 and Johnstown Johnnies in 1999. He has been a coach in the San Diego Padres chain since 2000. He coached the AZL Padres in 2000, the Fort Wayne Wizards in 2001-2004, and the Lake Elsinore Storm in 2005-2006. He made it up to the AA San Antonio Missions for 2007 then returned to Fort Wayne to coach for the Wizards in 2008 and Fort Wayne Tincaps in 2009-2010. Tornincasa was in San Antonio once again in 2011 and 2012, then moved up to the Tucson Padres in 2013.

Tornincasa moved to the Los Angeles Angels' organization as a coach for the Arkansas Travelers in 2014-2015 and Salt Lake Bees in 2016.
