Biographical Information[edit]

Tom Randolph has been a college coach and scout.

He hit .389/.459/.407 and fielded .891 as the shortstop for Sokol Krč in 1999, finishing 16th in the Extraliga in average. He was also an assistant coach in his season playing in Europe. He was assistant coach at Columbia University then was head coach of the Wentworth Institute of Technology from 2001-2004, before becoming an assistant coach at Amherst College.

He was an international scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates, focusing on Europe and Africa. He signed Mpho Ngoepe, Dovydas Neverauskas, Alex Lukashevich and Danny Arribas. This made him the first MLB scout to sign players trained in Lithuania (Neverauskas) and Belarus (Lukashevich). He also thus signed the first future major leaguers from South Africa (Ngoepe) and Lithuania.
