Biographical Information[edit]
Tom Dotterer is the son of minor leaguer Henry John "Dutch" Dotterer, Sr., brother of MLB catcher Henry John "Dutch" Dotterer, Jr., and uncle of Mike Dotterer, drafted by the Los Angeles Raiders.
He played eight years of professional baseball, from 1954 to 1963, missing two years to military service. His best seasons might have been 1955 (.274, 13 HR, 72 RBI for the Jets]]) and 1958 (.313, 3 HR, 83 RBI for the Visalia Redlegs).
Tom coaches baseball today at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse New York. He is one of the top coaches in New York State High School baseball history.
