Biographical Information[edit]

Tom Dimino played two seasons in the minors. His sons Adam Dimino and Khyle Dimino also played pro ball.

Tom was picked by the Cincinnati Reds in the 17th round of the 1976 amateur draft. He hit .202/.292/.266 that year for the Billings Mustangs, fielding .897 as their main shortstop; he stole 7 bases in 9 tries. Moving to 2B with the 1977 Eugene Emeralds, he batted .264/.328/.302 in 13 games, going 7-for-7 in swipes. He had hit .220/.302/.277 with 23 runs and 17 RBI in 52 games in the minors, with 14 steals in 16 attempts. His sons would also be noted for their speed and would finish 1-2 in their junior college for career steals.
