Tom Beeckmans has played for the Belgian national team, following in the footsteps of father Kris Beeckmans. [1]

He was 1 for 7 with 4 walks, a double and 3 runs as a 3B/P in the 2022 U18 European Championship, going 0-1 with a 9.88 ERA; he lost to Italy. [2] In Belgium that year, he hit .151/.282/.194 for the Merchtem Cats and was 0-1 with a 15.43 ERA. [3] The next season, he had a 4-4, 7.02 record and batted .354/.432/.442. He tied for 5th in games started (15). [4]

In the 2023 U23 European Championship, he was 0 for 1 with a walk. [5] He then was with Belgium for the 2023 European Championship. The teenager made one appearance, relieving Edouard Vanheer in the second with a 3-2 deficit against Israel, two on and no outs. Facing two former major leaguers to start off, he allowed a RBI single to Ty Kelly and a sac fly to Ryan Lavarnway. Brett Holtz and Assaf Lowengart both singled to make it 6-2 and a Robb Paller sacrifice fly brought in another before Zev Moore grounded out. He finished with seven hits, two walks and four runs (three earned) in four innings; fellow second-generation player Robbe De Boey succeeded him. [6]
