Relieving Tsung-Hao Wang in the 7th with a one-hitter in progress and a 9-0 lead over China, he gave up a hit to Fujia Chu and a walk to Shunyi Yang but escaped unscathed then Bo-Hao Chen took over in the 8th. Wang struggled in 2019 as his ERA was 8.14 in 14 games, and he only pitched 3 games in 2020. The Wei Chuan Dragons selected Wang in the expansion draft, and he had a 5.00 ERA in 43 games in 2021. Wang broke out in 2022, having a 3.28 ERA in 47 games while collecting 13 holds. He was 5th in holds, 13 behind Yu-Hsun Chen. However, Wang suffered from a left elbow injury, so he only pitched 4 games in 2023. He then underwent Tommy John surgery.
