Biographical Information[edit]

Hsiao-Yun Chen has played for the Taiwanese national team.

Chen played for Taiwan in the 2016 Haarlem Baseball Week and then was in the Asia Winter League. [1] He hit .182/.217/.364 with 5 RBI in 8 games as a regular in the 2018 Haarlem Baseball Week, including a 3-RBI game against Germany. He led the event with two triples but tied Chris Colabello for 2nd with 9 strikeouts. [2] In the 2018 Asian Games, he came off the bench three times for the Bronze Medalists. Against champion South Korea, he batted for Chen-Fei Lin in the 8th and was retired by Chi-guk Park. He replaced Tzu-Hsien Chan in right against Hong Kong and grounded out against Ching Connor Kwok. He had his best game against Indonesia, pinch-running for Chia-Yu Lin and staying in at CF. He singled off Andika Arlistianto to score Chien-Ming Chiang, stole 2nd and scored on a Chan single. His other time up, he singled off Nanda Dwi Saputra and again was driven in by Chan. [3]
