Biographical Information[edit]
Tim Unroe hit a broken-bat grand slam for his first home run off Norm Charlton of the Settle Mariners playing for the Milwaukee Brewers on May 3, 1997.
He led the Pioneer League in home runs in 1992 with 16 and the California League in fielding percentage for third basemen in 1993. Unroe was chosen MVP of the Texas League in 1994. He led the circuit in runs (97), hits (147), total bases (242), and RBI (103). He played for the Chunichi Dragons in 2001.
His son, Riley Unroe, was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the second round of the 2013 amateur draft.
