Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Tim Schoeninger played in the Los Angeles Angels system in 2006, 2007 and 2009. He was taken by the club in the 23rd round of the 2006 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Scott Richardson.

Between the AZL Angels and Orem Owlz in 2006, Schoeninger went 6-2 with a 1.75 ERA in 15 games (13 starts); in 77 1/3 innings, he allowed 66 hits and just 4 walks for a 0.905 WHIP, while striking out 65 batters. Between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 2007, he went 15-4 with a 4.57 ERA in 25 starts to lead Angels farmhands in victories. In 147 2/3 innings, he allowed 28 walks and had 121 strikeouts. He was a Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star. After not pitching in 2008, Schoeninger went 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA in 5 starts for the Quakes in 2009 to wrap up his career.

Overall, Schoeninger went 22-9 with a 3.65 ERA in 45 games (43 starts). In 246 2/3 innings, he allowed 269 hits and 39 walks, while striking out 201 batters.
