Biographical Information[edit]
Tim Murchison gave up no earned or unearned runs in the three major league games he pitched. He was on the World Series champion Cleveland Indians in 1920 and also the St. Louis Cardinals in 1917 who were over .500.
Murchison later became a scout in the Carolinas for the Chicago Cubs (1945-1954) and the New York Giants (1954-1962) for many years. In that capacity he signed Gaylord Perry and Randy Hundley.
He was at Guilford College at the same time as Tom Zachary.
