Biographical Information[edit]
Thongvanh Her was the starting center fielder for the Laotian national team in their debut, at the 2018 Asian Games, batting 6th. He struck out against Thailand's Siraphop Nadee in the 2nd, moved to third base, struck out against Phanuwat Sukmuang in the 5th and then made an error in his first fielding chance. [1] Their other game, against Sri Lanka, he did better, again starting in CF and this time hitting 7th. He handled three putouts error-free. In his first at-bat, he grounded out against Chamika Yasas. He grounded out against Kankani Gamaralalage Chirath Karunarathne in the 3rd but singled off him in the 6th then stole two bases. In the 7th, he drew a walk from Sasika Dulshan, stole another base and scored on a triple by Peun Silouanglath. Syvone Yelee pinch-hit him for him in the 9th. [2] He tied Sakai Phraechai for the most steals in the first round. [3]
