Biographical Information[edit]

Thomas Field was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 24th round of the 2008 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Chris Forbes and made his pro debut that summer.

In May of 2015, after starting the season with the AAA Round Rock Express, he was called up by the Texas Rangers to take over at second base for Rougned Odor who was sent down after hitting only .144. However, he was not able to hold on to the job, as he hit .195 in 14 games and on May 30th was designated for assignment as rookie Hanser Alberto took over at second.
