Biographical Information[edit]

Thomas Dorminy pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Dorminy was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 10th round of the 2014 Amateur Draft, and he went 0-1 with a 3.72 ERA for the Eugene Emeralds in his first year. He went 11-7 with a 2.94 ERA for the Fort Wayne TinCaps in 2015, and he was 4-5 with a 3.10 ERA in 2016. Dorminy also reached Adv-A class in that season, but he struggled there as he was 1-8 with a 9.94 ERA for the Lake Elsinore Storm.

In 2017, Dorminy was 2-3 with a 4.13 ERA for the Storm, and he also pitched 3 2/3 shutout innings for the San Antonio Missions. He left the Padres organization after that season, and he was 9-5 with a 2.45 ERA for the Washington WildThings in 2018. Dorminy went 6-6 with a 2.72 ERA for the Somerset Patriots in 2019, and the Lamigo Monkeys signed him in August to replace Matthew Grimes. He went 2-1 with a 4.81 ERA in 2019 CPBL, and he pitched 2 2/3 innings with 3 runs allowed in the 2019 Taiwan Series Game 4. The Monkeys beat the CTBC Brothers in 5 games. He was 4-3 with a 4.13 ERA for the Sydney Blue Sox in the winter.

Dorminy was 7-1 with a 2.63 ERA for the Chicago Dogs in 2020, and he went 3-4 with a 3.44 ERA for the Algodoneros de Guasave in the winter. He stayed in Mexico and having a 3.47 ERA with a 3-0 record for the Pericos de Puebla in 2021, then he was 5-7 with a 5.52 ERA for the Lexington Legends in 2022. Dorminy was 2-5 with a 4.63 ERA for the Bravos de Leon in 2023, and his ERA was 5.32 in 7 starts for the Leones del Caracas and 6.14 in 4 starts for the Venados de Mazatlan in the winter.
