Biographical Information[edit]
Tetsuya Horii was an outfielder for Mitsubishi Motors Kawasaki in the Japanese industrial leagues from 1984-1987. He coached and managed for Mitsubishi until 2004, then moved to JR East as manager. He coached for the Japanese national team in the 2009 Baseball World Cup, 2012 Asian Championship, 2013 East Asian Games and 2014 Asian Games.
