November 18: Today's featured birthday is that of Dante Bichette, who turns 61.
- 1909 - Rookie Babe Adams wins his third game of the 1909 World Series to give the Pirates the Series.
- 1912 - Fred Snodgrass makes his famous "muff" as the center fielder fails to make a catch in the 1912 World Series. It is one of a couple fielding gaffes in the Series finale as the Giants fall to the Red Sox in eight games (including one tie).
- 1962 - In Game 7 of the 1962 World Series, Ralph Terry throws a 1-0 shutout to give the Yankees the title. With two on and two out in the 9th, Terry retires Willie McCovey on a liner to Bobby Richardson.
- 1969 - The Miracle Mets complete their stunning win of the 1969 World Series over the vastly-favored Orioles. Donn Clendenon (pictured) hits a two-run homer and Jerry Koosman allows five hits in the game.
- 1983 - Eddie Murray homers twice to power the Orioles to the 1983 World Series title. Scott McGregor is the winner of the 5-0 contest over the Phillies.
