- 1929 - Johnny Frederick has five hits and scores five times in the first game of a doubleheader to give him a major league record eight runs in the two games.
- 1968 - Frank Howard hit his tenth home run in a six-game span to power the Washington Senators to an 8-4 victory over Detroit Tigers at Tiger Stadium.
- 1999 - Luis Gonzalez (pictured) extends his hitting streak to 30 games, matching the longest in the decade, in the Arizona Diamondbacks' 7-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants.
- 2016 - In a marathon game in the Mexican League, Tabasco defeats Veracruz in a game that takes 7 hours and 34 minutes and is only decided in the 23rd inning.
