It sounds like he might qualify for our Vietnam War Veterans category as he was in US military training during the War, but does his having deserted cost him the category? I would think a veteran might frown on a deserter being called a veteran. What do others think? - Mischa (talk) 12:43, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- No idea about the desertion question. On the university, it probably refers to one of the two University of Louisiana campuses, in Lafayette and Monroe, rather than LSU (which would have "estado" in its Spanish name). Hard to know which one, though. Philippe (talk) 14:25, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- The same article calls EKSU Universidad del Este de Kentucky so it left out the state there, but that was easier to verify because there's only one college with Eastern Kentucky in the name that I know of and it lists the conference they played in. - Mischa (talk) 12:27, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
